OPG (dental imaging)

An OPG is a x-ray technique used to examine the teeth, jaw and temporo-mandibular joints. Occasionally other specialised examinations are performed.

There are a number of situations where the use of x-rays is essential for correct diagnosis and treatment:

• Toothaches
• Decay
• Gum Disease
• Wisdom Teeth
• Root Canal Treatment
• Accidents
• Orthodontics

Patient Preparation

No patient preparation is required for these examinations.
